On July 14, 2021, SCHEELS announced plans to build a new store in the Towne East Square development in Wichita, Kansas. SCHEELS Wichita opened on July 1, 2023, and it is the second store location in Kansas. Featuring 220,000 square feet of retail and attraction space, SCHEELS Wichita is a space for families to enjoy. “With the success of our store in Overland Park, we are thrilled to bring a second SCHEELS location to the state of Kansas,” said SCHEELS CEO Steve M. Scheel.

At the entrance, there is a beautiful aquarium filled with a variety of colorful fish. Other fun attractions include a large Fuzziwig’s Candy Shop, rollerball, a wildlife mountain, and interactive games and simulators. Customers can enjoy a tasty meal or special treat at Ginna’s Café, a restaurant that serves gourmet soups and sandwiches, homemade fudge, and more.
