Smail frame with 165mm cranks when most are equipped with 170, 70mm stem when most are 80mm and an amazing $65 dollar seat in the VERSE, imo. CF bars and seat post, bands on bar tape to cover up the wrap, and plenty of mounting points. I'm enjoying the group but my opinion on wireless shifting is in it's infancy since I've never used it. Swapped out the wheels and rubber before taking delivery since my CF wheels needed a service and my rubber is 50mm all black instead 42mm gummy which imo didn't look good and doesn't perform for ME as well as 50mm. Ride mostly gravel but like to do non technical single track also to mix things up. First tubeless bike and got a puncture riding road in my neighborhood. Will convert back to tubes because I don't see advantages for tubeless for me on this bike. Can't afford to be replacing tires because they claim the tubeless repairs arn't permanent. My advise is just have bike shop set up with tubes to begin with unless you are comfortable with dealing with the extra complexity of a tubeless system. Good bike , really like the wireless shifting. Well, worth the price.","text":"I upgraded from the previous generation, and find that for me, the geometry on this is better. Also, the AXS electronic shifting is really sweet not having 2x upfront is fine by me. Actually makes things much simpler in the backcountry. I would've liked to seen one larger gear for severe climbs . the bike rides really fast , though I do notice that I spin out more than I used to. But since I'm not using this as primarily a road bike, not too worried about it. not sure I'm wild about the tires. I've already had one blowout in one week of riding, unrepairable tire . It was a mess.(this is my first tubeless experience.). i'm already on my second rear tire, and probably will not stick with bonetragers if this blows out sooner than later. I'll probably go to 50 mm in the future . I love having the wider array of mounting points. The down tube storage is actually bigger and so far the seat is comfortable. I have not put my better seat on it yet. I wanted to try out the stock seat since it is the right width. The 42 mm tires hug the road and feel so much more secure. The range and ratio of the ring and cogs, make hill climbing ever easier than my road bike (Litespeed Ultimate). Though the Checkpoint isn't as fast, its certainly a more comfortable ride, and I do not really notice the speed difference being a big factor.
