What I have found is that the KMA 135 R electric model provides a significant improvement in the ability to control the speed of the motor. With all the attachments there is a tendency of the gas models to twist the unit when increasing the speed. Not so with the electric model. Using the blower, trimmer, or Adjustable Power Scythe with the electric model gives the user way more control of the tool you are using. I'm sure this is true of all the attachments, I just haven't used all mine yet.\r\nThe issues people have with the run time are only if you use full power, which I have found, is typically more power than you want or need. \r\n\r\nI've used Stihl tools for over 40 years and their products are designed and preform well. It does everything that my old KM91 did with plenty of power, but it is a lot quieter and easier to start. The 2 bar power setting is usually sufficient for weed whacking. At this setting, I can do my entire ~1 acre property with a single AP300S battery, but when, it has been warm and wet and the grass and weeds have been growing well, it can require a little more an a single AP300S battery. So, it is best to have two batteries. Sometimes, I run it on full power (3 bars), when the grass and weeds are particularly thick. Most people think electric tools are underpowered compared to gas, but the KMA 135 R was designed to prove those people wrong. It has a great deal of power and is fully capable of tackling any job my old gas trimmer and edger would typically handle. It’s super light, extremely durable, and RELIABLE. Not a single issue since purchasing. I definitely recommend buying the bigger batteries as my 0.5 acre lot after a full grow typically uses up about the entire AP300S battery. Easy to clean, easy to use. Great for any DIY homeowner. If you own a landscaping company and will be using regular just buy a few extra batteries and the fast charger. The fast charger makes a huge difference in charge times as well.
