Scotty Cameron 2025 Studio Style Newport 2.5 Plus Putter

I switched from an Odyssey 11 and my take away was always a bit hazardous due to the weight. This Scotty has weight to it but is balanced so well that I get a smooth takeaway leading to better contact. \n\nThe clicking sound when you make contact is phenomenal. My old putter was very muted. \n\nIt may be pure placebo but I feel more confident with the Scotty. My first round with this putter I had my fewest putting strokes all year. Lag putting was great and I holed a few from outside my comfort range.\n\nOnly downside for me is the grip. I have small hands for a guy but this grip just feels way too thin in my hands. It’s weird because I am putting better but am not totally comfortable with the grip. I know purists will have a coronary over this but I’m contemplating adding a SuperStroke to it. Only reason I haven’t so far is because I feel like this is a Ferrari and seems wrong to put mud tires on it. I think this putter with the Medium Matador grip may be perfect. \n\nIt’s not really that much more expensive than the other putter brands as they seem to be increasing in price. Overall I feel it was a good investment. I feel confident. It looks good in the bag.
