This is a huge upgrade for me. \nI love the 21\" wheels (goes over roots better than the 26\" wheels).\nI love the 120 mm Rockshock front fork (much smoother than my 80mm). \nI love the 1 x 21 gears (much easier to use than the 2 x 9).\nI love the brakes (quiet, and smooth).\nThe Shimano Deore shifting is not as smooth as the 1998 SCRAM top of the line shifting. \n This is an Apples 🍎 to Oranges 🍊 comparison. The Shimano XTR would probably be better. There are always upgrades to dream about. \nI rode my favorite trail today. This bike is super fast. I picked a rough line on purpose, and the 🚴 bike just smoothed it out for me. Much much faster than my old bike. \nI love this bike.","textLength":772,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":1,"downVotes":1,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":"Boatman","firstName":null,"lastName":null,"emailAddress":null,"externalId":null,"city":"Amelia Island, Florida","state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":null,"purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2025-07-05T00:00:00-04:00","customData":[],"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[],"syndication":{"sourceName":"Trek","siteUrl":"https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/","logoUrl":"https://images.turnto.com/site/syndicationlogos/1719_LH48.png"},"catalogItems":[{"sku":"1643-5323510","title":"Trek 2025 Procaliber 9.5 Gen 3 Mountain Bike","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/1643-5323510","category":"mountain-bikes","reviewCount":2,"ratingCount":2,"averageRating":5,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":0,"2":0,"3":0,"4":0,"5":2},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":6861351,"locale":"en_US","rating":5,"title":"Great ergonomics.","text":"Bike feels capable off road, but still upright enough to be efficient on road.
