This is my 13th pair of these shorts but I am disappointed. I have purchased the same size XL for years. This is the first pair that has increased in overall length on the front and back panels. I’m not sure what happened but they were the perfect length before and now 1-2 inches longer depending on where you measure the panels. Outseam in my pair was 11.5 inches almost (vs 9.5”). Inseam was same as all my others shorts. \n\nOver the years, each pair has some differences from no inside pockets to one inside pocket to several inside pockets but the length has generally been the same. I swear I run faster in these. Definitely a little shorter and cheekier, but meh who cares— if you’re a runner you’re a runner, people know that and there’s the inner lining so who cares if a little shows in the wind. I tried a medium on in the store and was it was way too loose on the band and too much fabric everywhere else. Ordered a small and the waistband was more snug, indents ever so slightly into my waist, but overall fits better than the medium. An in between size would be been perfect, still went with the small. Anything dri-fit is an immediate yes from me. The side cut out that allows full leg extension without any restriction which is nice for running. I docked a star for weird sizing; I had to size up from my usual xs to an s because of the super tight waistband—now it’s a little baggier than i’d prefer in the front and back but I suppose when you’re running, the side of your booty cheek shows (bc of the purposeful slit) so a little more coverage is prob necessary. This version is beautiful but fits a bit bigger and feels less performance oriented. I am a solid XS in all Nike but the liner feels loose on these, as does the waist. Overall quality and style is excellent and the bright pink is super fun. I will use these for training but will go with a different race day option unless they restock the XXS (which is crazy - my waist is 27-28” so closer to an XS/S!!).
