I have had a .357 lever gun on my wishlist since the 1990’s. This one isn’t like the old-school blued with wood stocks gun I had always imagined. Finally added the stealth hunter to my collection. It is the perfect platform for building a modern tactical rifle. The rifle is accurate and smooth operating. The threaded barrel and m-lok handguard make adding accessories easy. Also, the rail on top is a good length and doesn’t extend too far down the barrel. I actuated the lever action and dry fired 500 times before its smooth. Make sure to put the safety bar on when dry firing per the manual or cushion the hammer with your thumb. Pull weight of trigger at the bottom right where it articulates near the trigger guard out of the box was 4lb but after 500 dry fired it’s 3lb 10oz with a slow pull on a Lyman electronic gauge. I chose this over the Henry big boy X bc it comes with a mlok hand guard. Had I just decided to go with ranger point precision upgrades just buy anything but I plan to keep this mostly as is.
