My 1st hoop I bought over 10 years ago. I would have given a rating of 5 stars, but for the same issue I have now. Your wheel axel and wheel caps are of the same quality of over 10 years ago, and are absolutely terrible!!! If you move the basket hoop and have to move the wheel base left or right, the wheel pushes against the wheel cap, forcing the wheel cap and the wheel to come off the axel!!!! Come on now!!! A simple bolt, 2 washers and a nut, would fix this issue immediately!!! They kept cancelling my order. Customer service wouldn't complete the order for me and I got hung up on by 3 different people. They had numerous excuses why my order was being cancelled and no matter what payment method I used they wouldn't let my order go through. I can't imagine how they are still in business the way they treat customers and roadblocks to purchases. It took us about 5 hours to assemble it. That included a lot of time spent adding sand. Regarding the sand, it is near impossible to get 700 lbs of sand in there. I’d love to know who has and how. Once we reached a bit over 450 it became very difficult since they only give one opening per base container to fill. Probably good for water to have one hole, but bad for sand. Additionally, the front wheels that you use to move the hoop around on your driveway was very poorly constructed. The caps are not an adequate way to hold the wheels on the axle and we had one fall off twice. We ended up drilling holes through the axle to attach a permanent solution. This hoop system is TOUGH, high quality, and although it's expensive, it's worth every penny if your son/daughter is a highly competitive player who will use it regularly. Unfortunately, as you follow the step by step instructions, you don't find out until you have assembled the entire thing! As a result, we had to entirely disassemble the hoop, separate the 2 pole pieces (talk about a nightmare!) and then reassemble. Where was Spalding through all of this? Couldn't tell you, they wouldn't help! The only communication I have received from them in a month is to send some pictures (which I did the next day). I sent two follow up emails and they didn't respond to either one. Send a third email and they finally reply saying sorry for the delayed response, they are still looking into my issue. Very inconvenient to say the least and no resolution from Spalding.
